I went into the local office to update banking and my new address, and the guy who "helped me , " gave me a hard time doing so. Even though I had my drivers license, and provided personal information about myself, he still treated me like I was trying to scam the system. I forgot my social security card, because I don't make it a habit to carry it around with me, since I am a victim of identity theft. I couldn't answer one question, my children's fathers social security number, and I told him that I didn't know it by heart being that we were never married, I had it at home. My 15 year old son had give his name, age, and where he was born . Before the guy would even accept my banking information. I was also told that I would have to come back to make changes to my address. When I asked him if he would give me proof of the changes, I was told that I would receive it in the mail. That was over a week ago, and I'm planning on going back to the office because I have yet to receive any form of conformation , hopefully I don't have to deal with the same person.
The first comment I have is people bringing children/babies that cry all the time. This is a government office it is not a place to bring a baby. The kids crying and constantly wanting to be entertained is annoying. The second comment is the woman that was supposed to help me was so rude and nasty. She never looked me in the face. The first thing she said was "WHAT DO YOU NEED"? I would think she should say May I help you. She told me two times. "YOU think you heard that" I am no liar, I could not have dreamed up the information I was giving her. After and hour of listening to her rudeness. She never did finish the questions I had. She leaned back in the seat looking the other way. So I did the same I had all day to sit there. She finallly said. "YOU do not EVER need to come back here again." I asked her what did she say. She repeated it. I think she was so out of line and rude. I would never tolerate that type of behavior if I was her boss. She has a very poor attitude.
Excellent staff! I needed to complete a name change form and get a new security card. The staff was pleasant and addressed my visit very quickly . I appreciate the warm and friendly environment. It was nice to be greeted by the officer who assisted with the process of pointing me in the right direction.
No communication and the staff obviously doesnt care to help. Step son is on disability and the check was sent to my fiance with his name spelled wrong as payee. Went to the ssi office twice and today received a check...name still wrong. Case worker wont call him back ( weve called her for over a month) so now its been 3 months and my stepson is in need of clothing and internet for his schooling. Poor kid is wearing clothes that is meant for a 10 year old. Hes 14 and 6 ft tall. My fiance hurt his back in the airforce so hes on ssd as well. People just dont care about others anymore. Just push through the paperwork and half a** it.
I want to thanks Mrs Roberson for reaching out and making all of my concerns clear. She took the time to find out all the information that i need in a professional way. She also made it clear to me if i need help make sure i call her direct. She also blessed me with good news about my case. So im thankful to have her on my case. Thank you Mrs Roberson.
