I exclaimed, "You can't do that! Have me arrested for what!?"
This is a good school
She replied with, "Watch what I can do!" And ran off somewhere behind the front office shouting, "Get me security! Security! Get security on the phone!"
This morning I had attempted to enroll my daughter at North Columbus Elementary, her zone school. The secretary at the front, Lisa, was polite and professional; but I started getting frustrated with the fact that they told me I had to go to Central Registration when I've already been there to fill out all the paperwork.
An hourly paid front office secretary being able to handle a situation and keep her professionalism over a principal is very concerning.
She said, "Hold on and let me ask the principal."
The principal comes back out with her, picked up my papers from the counter, glanced at it, dropped it back down infront of her secretary, and said, "You gotta go to Central, sorry, nothing we can do."
Her attitude was rude, condescending, and dismissive. I told her I've already been to Central, she cut me off before I could finish the sentence, and said, "That's the district rules."
Great school I have fun at this school
I got agitated by her poor manners, especially as an administrator for an elementary school. I said, "I'm a certified teacher. I know what the education laws are, don't talk to me like I'm an idiot!"
I was still standing at the counter when she ran off erratically. Her secretary, Lisa, was actually very sweet and even apologized for her principal! She said, "I'm so sorry for that. I really am, I know you're frustrated. I really am sorry." She proceeded to give me back my papers and told me to go to Central.
Could not ask for a better public school! My daughter's love being STARS
She raised her voice, became combative, lean over the counter, and said, "I'll have you arrested!" - saying this infront of staff, parents, young children, and my own 7 year old child.
I told her I wanted the number for the district's lawyer or personnel for civil rights violations, she smirked and said, "I don't know, you'll have to get it at Central." (She's a building administrator and she doesn't know this?)
