Melissa Fish and Nicole Taylor Midwives are both amazing women and very good at what they do. I dont know Melissa Hatter midwife as well but I'm sure she's just as good I only met her once. Dr. Eikelberry is also an amazing OB doctor and I would trust and of these people if i were to deliver a second baby. The office is clean, and unlike most OBGYN offices I've never had to wait long at all. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Only downfall is my billing secondary insurance wasn't filed under my lab work. However, I am going to get it straightened out and I don't see it being a big enough problem to loose a star at their amazing midwifes. Thank all of you.
The least helpful group of physicians I've come across. I have people here disregard my thoughts and feelings , look at me crazy for not understanding something few people do and unapologetic minimize my issues and concerns . I've also never been told up front what I'd be billed and always receive a bill post services instead of at check out when leaving an appointment. Never returning .
My wife is considered high risk for a certain type of cancer. Therefore, she needs to have yearly monitoring. Dr. Dean's Office rescheduled her twice, pushing back her ultrasound and other tests a whole year. When she started having symptoms, the same as when she had to have her first ovary removed, they scheduled her again. She was five minutes late due to construction on the bridge. The lady at the desk said Dr. Dean could not see her. However, there is a 15 minute grace period. The lady was clearly acting out of laziness, my wife was their last patient for the day. She obviously just wanted to go home. She became very belligerent with my wife. My wife raised her voice as-well. Nobody, is going to just sit on the phone and get screamed at by these people. They ended up canceling her appointment and making her go home. We now go to Emory, after my fair share of incidents with St. Francis, where I actually contacted their CEO. I would never go back to the place and if you care about your loved one, take the extra time to go to Emory. They don't hire physicians or nurses that earned their degrees from out of country in the Caribbean or right in town at "Columbus State Community College". I have done medical adminstration in the Army for 5 years now, it's sad how poor St. Francis is ran. The way they bill people is very sketchy as-well. They have been hit with fraud multiple times. Thank you St. Francis for taking care of this military family, not! However, they have no problem posting we support our military and veterans all over god's green earth. No, you don't the military St. Francis and you've proved it time and time again.
As a new mom to be you are constantly anxious about your pregnancy. Everything is new and nerve-wracking . I would say the staff is very politely and helpful . I chose to have a midwife instead of a ob-gyn doctor. I have always been recommended a midwife since they give you a more personal experience through out your pregnancy. I have heard great things about the ob's from other expecting mothers as well.
The midwives are amazing. Hands down. The management and office staff are not. I had a consult done with my primary care provider and had it sent to their office. My appointment was over two weeks later. They never received the consult from my VA doctor and instead of calling me ahead of time they let me show up and told me they wouldn't see me until I had an authorization number. Patients don't have access to that information. I'm high risk because of my age and because I've lost 3 babies in the last year. When the office manager called me on monday she was very rude. She informed me that without my medical records from my emergency room visit an appointment would be pointless because they would most likely not do any procedures. By this time I was cramping and spotting and had been for 4 days. I picked up my medical reocords from the emergency room and hand delivered them to her. When she asked me to come back to her office she said I would have to come without my husband and my kids because she didn't want the kids in her office. When I refused she said they could sit in the hallway outside her office. She then informed me that I would have an appt the next day and told me my kids would not be allowed to come. That appointment was fine. My kids and my husband were able to be with me. The midwife was amazing. Very kind and respectful. I had another appt today and the again, the midwife was amazing and there were no issues with me bringing my kids. At the end of my appt the director came in and informed me they would no longer continue to provide medical care for me "based on documented concerns verbalized from you to the staff, patient access department and on social media, OBGYN Associates will no longer continue to provide medical care for you." I had been a patient there for 5 years.
