This group controls all the Max Fitness in Columbus, GA as well as a number of other gyms in Auburn, Opelika, etc. They are the worst health club managers I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
Do yourself a favor and pay a big due to join a crossfit affiliate where they will actually treat you like a human being and not rob you.
Not joking, I thought I had personally cancelled prior to deploying to Afghanistan for a year long tour. The personnel at Max Fitness assured me I was good to go, "thanks for your service", and all that lovely stuff. I was charged the entire time I had the honor of serving my country, and absolutely NO they would not refund or even act concerned over my misfortune. I was the dumbass who thought there was still such a thing as "customer service".
This is a sales organization for a gym. They are calling numbers on the do not call list so I reported them to that agency. Last time I did that the business was GONE.
They refuse to cancel your membership at any of their affiliates, you must write in yourself and cancel. A fact that many of their subordinate affiliates have no clue about. No matter how short or long you signed up for, if you thought you'd cancelled by talking to the managers at the affiliate too bad. You will be charged ad infinitum and they have absolutely zero remorse for you, or their personnel's ignorance.
