I just love this place! I was a school patrol with the owners son when he told me his daddy was going to open up a restaurant... the rest is history! That was like 1975 & 76. I really enjoy Fri and Sat nights when the bluegrass bands play although I miss the Official Country's Band. The food is excellent and the servers are generally pretty teenage girls. They know the menu backwards and forwards and can make suggestions for most any palate. Well worth the wait on weekend nights.
The window service was excellent, staff friendly, very little wait at a busy time of day. All needs were met with friendly people! I used to come and eat there, but since my husband passed just about 18 months ago, I haven't been back, so it was my first time ordering food to go. I always love your vegetables!!! Thank you for a great meal after a hard day!
Amazing food!!! Fried green tomatoes were the vegetable of the day and are great!!! Very friendly staff... Neat decor! Will try to detour when traveling to eat here again!
This is my first time coming here and it will also be the last. My whole order wasn't appetizing. The brisket had more fat than meat. The baked beans where over seasoned and extremely sweet. The coleslaw didn't taste like it should. There were only two good things about this place. One is that the sauce was good, although we only got one tiny cup for a order that would feed 8 people. The second thing was that their customer service was great. Perhaps this is a great place for locals but definitely not great for a visitor.
Usually very good. Service definitely can be lacking, but is often not too bad. Get the tea if you can, you won't regret it. Try a new side! Their sides are just as good as the bbq. I always bring out-of-towners here and they love It!
