My wife and I came to Columbus,GA to watch our son Graduate from Fort Benning. We had an extra night at the hotel and discussed where we would eat dinner. When we arrived it was busy, we asked for our order. service was spectacular. They explained everything to us. We got our dinner and took it back to our hotel to eat. Was the best Crab Boil I have ever Eaten! I recommend this to everyone. I consider this place to My wifes and I gem in the wall restaurant.
The bathroom situation was not great. But the food was beautifully done. Not overseasoned, and food cane out hot. The pricing definitely matches the food quality. I went for the first time today and I loved it. Wish we had metal silverware and not plastic. They do need some seafood crackers though - the ones usually for crab legs. But overall, this place is definitely someplace I would come back.
The best crab I've ever eaten and the best place I've eaten in Columbus! It makes me want to drive all the way to GA from TX to eat there again. I highly recommend. The only downfall is that its not set up much as a restaurant and most food orders are expected to be take out. They charge $1 for melted butter, but honestly you don't need it. The food is packed full of flavor and deliciousness.
Eating here is a hit or miss! Which is sad because the food can be good on a good day. I really dislike the fact that they warm your food up in a microwave, doing so causes the crabs to dry out and the shrimp is over cooked! The owner will walk right pass you and not speak which is a big negative for someone who’s spending money at your establishment.
The food is best when they're super busy. Otherwise, the crab can be a little overcooked, I assume from sitting. Bring exact cash. I've been several times over the span of a few months. The card machine is always down, and they never have change. Other than that, I would have given them 5 stars for the large portions and flavor, which is really good. Try the neckbones for sure.
